Seribu Islands Residents Proposed The Construction of Maritime Campus

Seribu Islands residents proposed to build maritime campus in their area. The maritime oriented campus is needed related to the geographical location of the area.

There are still many lands, the Spatial Planning Sub-Department will organize it

The two urban villages which conveyed the aspiration to Seribu Island Development Planning Office (Kappekab), are Panggang Island and Kelapa Island Urban Village in North Seribu Islands Sub-District.

"Even though it is not urgent, but the campus needs to be built as a need of education field based on the geographic," said Head of Seribu Island Development Planning Office, Susy Latifah, Monday (9/7).

According to her, the proposal will be conveyed to the Headman of Seribu Islands Administration and Jakarta Provincial Government.

"There are still many lands, the Spatial Planning Sub-Department will organize it. As for the transportation, we just need to coordinate with the Transportation Sub-Department if the plan realized," she explained.

Previously, the construction of the campus was proposed regarding maritime sector improvement and its development.
