1,101 PMKS in C. Jakarta Netted Along January-August

Central Jakarta Social Sub-Department recorded that along January-August, as many as 1,101 People With Social Welfare Problem (PMKS) from several PMKS-prone areas are successfully netted.

Head of Central Jakarta Social Sub-Department, Susana Budi Susilowati details from 1,101 PMKS, 119 people were netted in January, 153 people in February, 155 people in March, 165 people in April, 178 people in May, 142 in June, 172 people in July and 117 people in August.

Those PMKS are dominated by bum (213 people), scavenger (59 people), beggar (169 people), 265 Jockey 3 in 1 (265 people) and psychotic (105 people).

“ We sent 50 members of quick response team in 4 PMKS-prone areas in Central Jakarta, and divided into two shifts to reach them all ,” she said, Monday (9/7).

Susilowati added those PMKS-prone areas are Harmoni intersection, HI Roundabout area, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Karet Bivak Public Cemetery (TPU), under Tanah Abang and Jatibaru Flyovers.

Nevertheless, those PMKS will move to another location in the morning and afternoon during 3 in 1 system on Jalan Sudirman and Thamrin. As for those who often roam in HI Roundabout area, will move to Jalan Imam Bonjol, Jalan Sumenep and Jalan Yusuf Adiwinata. Then those in Jatibaru, will move to Jalan Gatot Subroto in front of House of Representative (DPR/MPR) building.
