Jakarta will Be An Elderly-Friendly City

Jakarta is going to be a friendly city for elder. Youth generation should respect and learn from experience of previous generation.

"Yesterday, Jakarta was awarded as a friendly province for children. If we are friendly to children, we should do the same to elders," said Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat, when he attended the Friendly Elders Movement Socialization Campaign, at HI Roundabout, Central Jakarta, Sunday (9/13).

The event was initiated by Swastivarna Foundation as the partner of Social Ministry. It aims to encourage the city administration for making friendly public and social facility for elder .

East Jakarta Won Child-Friendly City Award

Djarot also appealed youth generation to appreciate and respect to elders by behaving politely. "Should respect and behave politely. Youth Generation should keep supporting and learning from old generation," he closed.
