Kerapu Fish Cultivation to Be Developed in Seribu Islands

In order to increase citizens' life standard and maintain food security, Seribu Islands Regency Administration will develop fish cultivation involving the local fishermen.

Profit sharing system by 80 percent for fishermen and 20 percent for government is also applied. The kinds of fish cultivated are sea pomfret and grouper. Both kinds of fish are considered could breed and be harvested quickly.

"Therefore the stock is more and sufficient for needs in island and land," he explained.

He added, for the cultivation location, his party has surveyed some places including Pramuka and Panggang Island.
