PHE-ONWJ Will Explore Oil & Gas in Seribu Islands

Along with Seribu Islands Regency Administration, PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE-ONWJ) will explore the oil and gas. 

In future, I hope we could explore oil and gas source in Seribu Islands for boosting oil production in Indonesia

"In future, I hope we could explore oil and gas source in Seribu Islands for boosting oil production in Indonesia," said Vice President of Subsurface PHE ONWJ, Ahmad Zaelani, after attending the Workshop of Oil and Gas Upstream Industrial and Socialization for Environment Survey Post Seismic in Pattern Room, Pramuka Island, North Seribu Islands, Wednesday (9/16). 

According to him, the exploration has been conducted since December 2014 to explore new oil reserve source. The total area that explored is 1,150 square-kilometers including upstream area as wide as 180 square-kilometers. "The whole acquired area is located outside Seribu Islands' National Park," he uttered. 

Seribu Islands Regent Wants Seismic Exploration Not to Ruin Environment

While the exploration, he continued, his side is calculating the investment fund. He guarantees, there would be no vandalism of sea ecosystem.
