MRT Project, Drilling Rigs Operated Next Week

PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) to operate underground drilling rig (TBM) on 21st September.

Drilling and excavating will be carried out at the project point of Pemuda Senayan statue and also underground construction towards Setia Budi.

PT MRT Jakarta President Director, Dono Boestami said drilling rig will be operated by CP 104 contractor, SOWJ Joint Venture that consists of Shimizu, Obayashi, Wijaya Karya and Jaya Konstruksi. “It slated to be operated on 21st September,” he expressed, Thursday (9/17).

The rig diameter is 6.7 meter by 323 tons weight. The construction period will be carried out up to December 2016.

Furthermore, as traffic congestion anticipatory, traffic diversion will be conducted on Jl Sisimangaraja, Jl Jendral Sudirman and Jl Pattimura towards Senayan statue roundabout. Traffic light settings and Transjakarta lane closures on the south side of Senayan shelter will also be applied.

Boestami urged road user to avoid the area and find another alternative way. “We need your support, hopefully the construction is going well and could finish on time,” he disclosed.
