East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardhana will utilize riverbanks in his area as a city agriculture land.

“There are unused riverbanks and suitable as agriculture. Considering its existence is very rare in Jakarta,” he told, Friday (9/18).

Musyawardhana acknowledged the effort is purposed to empower and prosper resident, or even prevent illegal building. “Agriculture land is very positive, as long as there is no rain,” he expressed.

According to him, the riverbank can also be free from trash. And he would deeply review and conduct mapping the locations that are potential.

“This is my concept. I am sure the riverbank could be free from trash. As planned, I'll do this in April until September or post-rainy season,” he uttered.
