Flona 2015 Targets to Have 500,000 Visitors

Flora and Fauna (Flona) 2015 exhibition which is opened today, Friday (9/17), will be held differently with previous years.

Surely this method is applied to attract more visitor to come by using Transjakarta bus. The event entrance is free of charge

Dept. of City Parks and Meteries will give discount Rp 10 thousand for every plants in the weekend.

"The discount is given in Saturday and Sunday only," said Ratna Diah Kurniati, Jakarta Head Dept. of City Parks and Cemeteries.

The 2nd Flona Expo Starts Today

According to her, the transaction system applied during the event is using electronic money (e-money).

"We have coordinated with a bank. Each booth will provide the Electronic Data Capture (EDC)," she added.

She continued that a booth is prepared to change the usual money into e-money. This type of transaction is based on Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama's instruction. It is aimed to ease the transaction calculation.

A plant seed will be given free for Transjakarta bus passenger. The gift can be taken by showing the Transjakarta e-money card.

"Surely this method is applied to attract more visitor to come by using Transjakarta bus. The event entrance is free of charge," she stated.

About 150 booths consist of ornamental plants, fruit plants, herb plants, and animals will enliven the event. 14 booths from Indonesian Orchid Association which come from Jambi, Central and North Sulawesi, Lampung, Papua, Aceh, East Kalimantan, Banten, and West Papua will be also provided there.
