Sacrificial Animal in E. Jakarta are Declared Free Anthrax

Sacrificial animal in 8 sub-districts in East Jakarta are declared free anthrax. The officers have taken blood sample and tested it in the laboratory of animal examination Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) for City Animal Husbandry Technology and Products Quality Testing.

There are 40 shelters. We take 10 blood samples of cow, goat and sheep in each shelters and negative anthrax

Head of East Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-Department, Fauziah acknowledged from blood sample testing it is ensured those sacrificial animals are free from anthrax.

“From lab testing revealed that sacrificial animal from 8 sub-districts are free from anthrax,” she said, Wednesday (9/23).

The sub-districts are Duren Sawit, Makasar, Ciracas, Cipayung, Kramat Jati, Pasar Rebo, Matraman, and Jatinegara. The officer took sample from 5 locations of animal sacrificial shelter.

“There are 40 shelters. We take 10 blood samples of cow, goat and sheep in each shelters and negative anthrax,” she uttered.

Separately, today we just take blood sample in Pulogadung and Cakung. “We take blood sample today to the rest of sub-districts,” she expressed.

Currently, the total number of sacrificial animal shelters in East Jakarta are 438 locations. With details 6,606 cows, 20,105 goats, 1,412 sheeps and 1 buffalo.
