Basuki Encourages PT Jakpro to Acquire Three BUMDs

PT Jakarta Properindo (Jakpro) is about to acquire three region-owned enterprises (BUMD) in accordance with Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama's instruction. It could be realized if PT Jakpro was been listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange or Go Public Company.

We’ll review first. Certainly, we entrust this matter to PT Jakpro

Those BUMDs are PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol, PT Kawasan Berikat Nasional (KBN) and PT Jakarta Industrial Estate Pulogadung (JIEP).

We’ll review first. Certainly, we entrust this matter to PT Jakpro,” he stressed, at City Hall, Monday (9/28)

BUMD Asked to Synergy With Cooperative

Ahok claimed that the acquisition aims to eliminate BUMD Supervisory Agency (BPBUMD). Considering its existence is unoptimal to supervise dozens of BUMDs all over Jakarta.

“Do they (BPBUMD) able to supervise the whole BUMD? Of course, they don't,” he expressed.

Beforehand, he targeted PT Jakpro should be Go Public first by the end of 2017 or early 2018, and able to engage top companies in the world as an auditor.

“There must be reliable partner to take a role as a supervisor. Go public company should be supervised by public,” he disclosed.
