Jakarta Statistic Center Board (BPS) is about to hold economic census next year in order to get the latest data of all economic activity except agriculture. Later on, the census data will be made as policy making, planning, and development evaluation base.

Nyoto Widodo, head of the board, said the census is aimed to give clear picture of structure and economic level.
"There will be 21 thousands officers to be trained for collecting data," he said.

"We predict there are 1.19 million of individual business in Jakarta in form of company and home industry," he added.
The census result will give benefit for businessmen to know the chance and competition. As for the government, it can be used to evaluate the policy.
