Parks and Cemeteries Dept. Accelerating Land Buying Process

Jakarta Dept. of City Parks and Cemeteries keeps accelerating the land buying process for public open space. As much as 55 lands ware waiting for Governor Decree to be bought.

We already prepared Rp 460 billion for those 14 land lots. The payment awaits the governor letter

"We're optimistic to proceed the land buying in 96 locations this year," said Ratna Diah Kurniati, Jakarta Head Dept. of City Parks and Cemeteries, Thursday (10/1).

The budget prepared for the target is Rp 2.4 trillion, and still realized Rp 203 million or 10 percent only.

Parks and Cemetery Dept. Urged to Accelerate Budget Absorption

According to her, the land buying process is still running. The negotiation process has entered for 57 land lots as much as Rp 1.5 trillion. Other 14 lands also entering negotiation phase, but await for governor letter.

"We already prepared Rp 460 billion for those 14 land lots. The payment awaits the governor letter," she added.

The letter for land buying has been issued for 41 locations with total budget Rp 881 billion. Of 41 locations, 11 locations have been paid Rp 203 million, 4 locations are canceled with total budget Rp 319 billion.

"They asked above appraisal price," she continued.

There was also payment postponement because the heirs went abroad. This problem and other such as documents completeness also disturbs the process.

"The process must go on, and it must be pushed to meet the target," she disclosed.
