Djarot: Residents, Use Mosques as Learning Center Site

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat has a desire that local residents to set mosques as learning and gathering center site.

Mosque can be learning yet gathering center site. Thus, we can become people who imitate the prophet's teaching and bring peace

Djarot acknowledged as a religious site, locals could also utilize mosques as interaction site to create tolerance attitude among religious groups.

Anticipating Clash, Djarot Chooses Dialogue

“Mosque can be learning yet gathering center site. Thus, we can become people who imitate the prophet's teaching and bring peace,” he stated after Friday prayer in Nurul Wathan Mosque, RT 05/10, Sunter Agung, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Friday (10/16).

On that occasion, he also gave aid in a form of money cash by Rp 10 million for mosque construction project.  “Hopefully, the aid could be beneficial,” he hoped.

Mosque Committee Chairman, Munajah added the current construction is still finishing the towers construction and other facilities.

“This mosque is built independently and gradually since past 1977. Hope this construction could be finish immediately,” he disclosed.
