Basuki Will Form Hold BUMD's Holding to Expedite Development

(Rizki) Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama (Ahok), will form Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) holding. It means the development will not only use city budget. It is done after taking sample from Temasek Holding, a Singaporean investment company.
Basuki wanted the project in Jakarta should not run in multiyears to speed up the development.

By applying the investment company's way, the city administration will be able to buyback the project developed by BUMD. The law base has been issued in for of Presidential Decree (Keppres).
"Let's the professional invite Temasek or IDB (Islamic Development Bank) to create an asset management company. Then we'll make our BUMD to go public and invite strategic partner," he added.
In order to realize this plan, the governor had visit Singapore since October 19. Several BUMDs such as Bank DKI and PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) were also invited.
