Jakarta Marathon Is an Event to Promote Jakarta Tourism

Head of Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department, Purba Hutapea expected the 2015 Jak Marathon that held in Monas last Sunday (10/25 could be an event to promote Indonesia's tourism and culture, especially in Jakarta.

We expect, the Jak Marathon event could drive locals’ economy and effectively attract interesting element tourism in the city

 

“We expect, the Jak Marathon event could drive locals’ economy and effectively attract interesting element tourism in the city,” he said at City Hall, Monday (10/26).

Purba said that he was proud to support the event yesterday. Because it is in accordance with the theme that was initiated by City Marathon Festival, thus the event is differentiating with other cities in the world.

 

“We also held culture festival which indirectly characterize Jakarta Marathon in 2015 with the concept of Festival City Marathon," he said.

 

However, to enliven the event, a number of musicians were performed on cultural stage festival and also local archipelago dance.

 

"The event festival yesterday aims to align Indonesia to the eyes of the world in terms of tourism and sport as well to inspire citizens on a pleasure to exercise,” he finished.
