Bekasi DPRD Should Help Jakarta Government, Basuki Says

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama said that Bekasi Legislative Council (DPRD) is supposed to help Jakarta Provincial Government discontinuing the cooperation with PT Godang Tua Jaya regarding waste management in Bantar Gebang Integrated Waste Disposal Site, Bekasi, West Java.

"I've told that via mass media. Bekasi Legislative Council should help us defaulting PT Godang Tua Jaya, not attacking me," said Basuki during an executive meeting at City Hall, Monday (10/26).

He claimed that he has never heard information the legislatives scolding the company regarding their bad performance in managing the disposal site.

"I've never heard them scolding the company. So I instructed Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) to investigate it," he told.

According to him, if the PPATK finds gratification from the company to the legislative, the people who have affairs in the budget of the disposal site would be charged with article of money laundering.

"Moreover there has been Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the local administration as the basis," he asserted.
