Due to having sedimentation, inlet and outlet channels of Ria Rio Reservoir, Kayu Putih, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, normalized up to 2 meters depth.

"The channels are dredged so that they can reserve more water debit when rainy season. The sedimentation makes the water hard to flow to the reservoir," said Head of East Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Yazied Bustomi, Wednesday (10/28).

Each of the channel is dredged along 50 m. The dredging which is using was from self-manage fund 2015 has been going since a month ago and targeted to be complete by the end of this month.

Besides that, the reservoir is also being dredged. But it is conducted by Jakarta Water Management Department.
