Based on the data of North Jakarta Parks and Cemeteries Sub-Department, there are 15 residents in North Jakarta pass away every day. Hence, it needs personnel who can do  showering and shrouding the corpse well and correctly.

Showering and shrouding body are obligation of muslim

North Jakarta Development Assistant, Suroto said that burial is Jakarta Government's authority followed-up by the sub-department.

"Showering and shrouding body are obligation of muslim. But not everyone can do that. Hopefully by holding showering and shrouding corpse training could improve skills of officers based on the correct procedures and could spread the knowledge to other residents," said Suroto in Yos Sudarso Hall, North Jakarta Mayor Office, Thursday (10/29).

"If there's no one showering, all of muslim would be sinned. Therefore, we have obligation to do that," said Head of North Jakarta Parks and Cemeteries Sub-Department, Yati Suharti.
