Seribu Islands Resident Be Cautious of Blooming Algae

Head of Seribu Islands Disaster Mitigation Agency , Muhammad Ali appealed the residents to be aware of blooming algae phenomenon.

Blooming algae now is happening in south side of Pari Island. We appeal residents not to consume fish found dead, as it will cause poisoned until death

Blooming algae is dense growth of plankton or tifoplankton in sea water that cause mass death of fish or sea biota. The death is because of contaminated with toxic from the plankton.

Fish Cultivation with Cages Keeps Being Finalized

Temperature, sea wave, lightning changing are the main cause of the plankton to breed more and produce toxic. To anticipate it, according to him , his side has coordinated with  the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI).
