Dredging of Ria Rio Dam Should Be Accelerated

The dredging of Ria Rio Dam, Pulogadung, East Jakarta must be sped up. Heavy equipments must be added to finish the effort before the rain intensity gets higher.

East Jakarta Mayor, Bambang Musyawardana, admitted that there are only two heavy equipments at the scene.

Basuki Is Optimistic Puddle Can Recede Quickly

Ideally, he added, there must be another 4-5 units remaining. One buldozer must be also prepared to manage the mud.

"We can plant plantation above the mud. It will beautify the area also," he added.

At this moment, the depth of the dam is only two meters. The project plans to add the depth up to 4 meters.
