Mookevart Strewn With Mud, Citizen Residential Inundated

The malfunctioned drainage has caused flooding every year along Jalan Palapa Raya, Rawa Buaya Urban Village, West Jakarta. Responding on this matter, Head of Rawa Buaya Urban Village stated that the drainage is strewn with mud.

Although it was been cleaned from trash and mud, the water in the drainage cannot flow smoothly

"Although it was been cleaned from trash and mud, the water in the drainage cannot flow smoothly. This is because mud in Mookevart River has not been dredged," he expressed, Tuesday (11/3).

He added, the condition makes the citizen residential flooded due to overflowing waters of drainage at Jalan Palapa.

"We've dredged mud manually and cleaned the drainage along with officer of Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU). But it is useless because the drainage cannot operate well and its water spills out onto citizen residential," he finished.
