Ahok Invites Mookevart River Citizens to Move Into the Flat

As we know, the riverbank is inappropriate used as a place to stay or residential. Besides dangerous, the residential also causes the overflowing waters of the river. Hence, Jakarta Governor, Basuki "Ahok" T Purnama held impromptu visit or blusukan and invited local citizens to move into the flats provided by the city administration.

I hope you are willing to move into the flat because we would use the land as road inspection

All this time, the land is a road inspection trace. During his visit, Ahok intentionally walks while greeting locals. Supposedly, the trace should be 20 meters wide. But now, its wide is only 7.5 meters because parts of the land used as residential.

“I hope you are willing to move into the flat because we would use the land as road inspection,” he stated, on the edge of Mookevart River, West Jakarta, Thursday (4/9).

Ahok admitted citizens who are still occupying the land will be relocated to the flat, Daan Mogot. Later on, those who have the land certificate will be paid in accordance with the tax value of the properties (NJOP). Yet those who have no it, will be relocated to the flat.

“If the flat is not ready, it will be done gradually. I think, they would be more prosperous there because of we wanted to build a Central Park. This is still under preparation. We will relocate them soon,” he stated.

He also instructed West Jakarta Mayor, Anas Effendi to record the citizens' data who have business. Thus, they can remain open business in the flat.

“So, citizens who have business will be relocated to the flat and will get free stall. It doesn't apply for those who have no business,” he insisted.

Dariyah (35), a local citizen acknowledged she is willing to be relocated, as long as there is compensation. Considering, she and her family has lived in the land for a long time ago.
