Folk Market in Johar Baru Offers Cheap Beef

The folk market once again held on the courtyard of Ornamental Fish Promotion Center, Johar Baru. The market offers 2 tons of beef with cheap price.

Deputy Mayor of Central Jakarta, Mangara Pardede disclosed the beef price in the market is currently around Rp 110-120 thousand per kilogram. But it is surely cheaper in folk market, that is only Rp 80-89 thousand per kilogram.

"We also provide 2,000 kilograms of beef, people can buy only with the price of Rp 80-89 thousand per kilogram, it can save due to market price is expensive, that is Rp 110-120 thousand," he said, Friday (11/6).

Meanwhile, Sub-Dept Head of Central Jakarta Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises and Trade (KUMKMP), Richard Bangun said, 2 tons of beef supplied until Saturday (11/7) tomorrow. "I am optimistic, the meat stock in our market will be sold out due to affordable price," he stated.

In addition to beef, there are also cooking oil, sugar, noodle and Betawi traditional foods.
