Flood Under Sudirman Landmark Receded

An heavy rain flushed Jakarta, Saturday (11/7), causing a number of areas flooded. One of the areas is Dukuh Atas, Central Jakarta, precisely road under Sudirman landmark. Surely, it led to severe traffic jam.

Relaying on Beritajakarta.com's observation, puddles seen from the front of the Shangrilla Hotel with water level 20 centimeters and 1 meter high underneath the landmark.

Water Channels Prone to Flood in Makasar Cleaned


One of the City Police officers, Aiptu Budi said the vehicle cannot pass around 11.30 AM. Hence, road closure is done by diverting Jalan Sudirman to HI Roundabout.


"Motorist cannot pass due to high water level. Yet it gradually began to recede," he told.


Meanwhile, Head of South Jakarta Water Management Sub-Department, Deddy Budiwidodo claimed that he did not know the puddle under Sudirman landmark.


"I have no idea about it and I do not know the cause yet," he admitted.
