Pulogebang Residents Trained to Handle Fire

Hundreds of residents who live in Pulogebang Urban Village, East Jakarta are trained to handle fire. The prevention until handling materials and tools that can be used to put out fire is given to them.

Should be calm down and make sure you can put out the fire. Then extinguish it based on the wind direction, don't do it in opposite way as it's dangerous

"There are 300 residents consist of RT/RW caretakers, LMK, Public figures, Karang Taruna (youth organization), PKK and PPSU participating," said Pulogebang Urban Village Head, Fajar Eko Satrio, Wednesday (11/11).

According to him, the training is divided into 2 sessions. And it is implemented until tomorrow Thursday (11/12). "Today, 150 residents participate, and the rests are tomorrow," he uttered.

Dedi Darmawan, one of the instructors from East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-Department told in facing fire flames should be calm down and not panicked. Then extinguishing fire should be done based on the wind direction.

"Should be calm down and make sure you can put out the fire. Then extinguish it based on the wind direction, don't do it in opposite way as it's dangerous," he explained.
