Basuki: Deputy should Be Smarter Than Me

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T Purnama, inducted Oswar Muadzin Mungkasa as Deputy Governor for City Spatial Planning and Environment.

My expectation is a deputy must be smarter than me and ease spatial planning and environment tasks

Ahok hopes the cooperation with civil servants (PNS) of the ministry could assist Jakarta Provincial Government in term of spatial planning.

“ My expectation is a deputy must be smarter than me and ease spatial planning and environment task s,” he said, after he inducted Mr. Oscar, at City Hall, Friday (11/13).

Basuki also authorized him to monitor Regional Working Unit (SKPD) related to the spatial planning and environment. Ahok judged, this deputy represents the best of several candidates who are participating in the selection and promotion open for the post.

"I always choose the best, even though there are three names of my close friends. But from the interview result he remains the best," he expressed.

Indeed, he furthered, the induction took a long time due to Jakarta Provincial Government had to wait for the issuance of Presidential Decree.

“We’ve to wait presidential decree before inducting echelon-I official,” he expressed.

Moreover, it is in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 8 /TPA/2015 of October 23, 2015 on the demotion, removal of city leadership positions under Jakarta Government.
