Djarot: Mental Revolution For Public Service

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat expected entire bureaucrats to perform mental revolution by giving best service for the sake of residents interest.

Actually, Mental Revolution itself has been applied in City Administration since last 2012 by changing bureaucrats’ mindset to serve instead of be served.

“Our bureaucrats used to have corrupt mindset, not willing to serve, intransparent. That’s what we basically change,” he said during his speech on Government Ethics Bureaucracy Implementation at City Hall, Wednesday (11/18).

As behaviorally, civil servants demanded to leave away old mindset which full of cheating and not service oriented.

“As revolution is a fundamental changes, there must be a victim, they who aren’t willing to change,” he expressed.

Hidayat added the mental revolution effort starts to give results. As in the current budget deliberations bureaucracy more transparent and detailed. While in the service sector, the personnel handling the flood has been working day and night with responsibility.

“Everything going well, the certain thing is we’ll keep moving forward because it affects to our nation,” he uttered.
