Kalemdikpol: Ahok is a Figure of Mental Revolution

Some policies of Jakarta Governor Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama which are anti-corruption is deemed appropriate with mental revolution idea. The assertiveness of his behavior that does not want to compromise with corruption can also be able to change the bad stigma of the officials to be trusted by citizen.

Chief of National Police's Education and Training Division (Kalemdikpol), Insp. Gen. Syafruddin stated his party invited Ahok as one of the speakers on a mental revolution seminar to raise the human source character of National Police.

"The seminar is titled a mental revolution. That's why, Mr. Ahok was invited as one of the mental revolution figures," expressed Syarifruddin, at City Hall, Thursday (6/11).

According to him, he can change citizen stigma thus crowned him as Jakarta Governor. One of the stigma that could be changed by him is about the corrupt politician to be not corrupt. 

"Mr. Ahok can change stigma, the opposite one, that the negative stigma of politician could be positive. With the commitment of course. The corrupt one becomes anti-corruption," he uttered. 

Meanwhile, he also claimed trying to change the stigma about politician, and it should be proven with action. 

"I keep trying to change the stigma when I was a Regent of East Belitung. All this time, they have been thinking that politician is corrupt, and break promise, etc," explained Ahok. 

Nevertheless, the current mental revolution is not his idea. He is only forwarding what President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo has been done. "Now we're following Mr. Jokowi. Forwarding what he has been done," he disclosed.
