Basuki Sweeping KUA-PPAS 2016, Could Save Budget Rp 1 Trillion

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama since Last Wednesday (11/18) has been sweeping the General Policy for City Budget Priorities and the Tentative Budget Platform (KUA-PPAS) for 2016.

I'm sure it could save budget up to Rp 1 trillion

During the sweeping, some programs succeeded to be streamlined, both deducted or eliminated. Basuki is sure by doing it could save budget up to Rp 1 trillion.

"I'm sure it could save budget up to Rp 1 trillion," he expressed when doing KUA-PPAS sweeping, at City Hall, Saturday night (11/21).

He mentioned that budget in Tourism and Culture Department succeeded to be streamlined up to Rp 400 billion. Then in Cleanliness Department up to Rp 100 billion. "Furthermore in Education and Water Management Departments. There are many nonsense budgets," he told.

In Tourism and Culture Deparment, Basuki eliminated some festival events. Considering each of the event is budgeted up to Rp 10 billion.

Besides that, in each department Basuki allocates budget for purchasing office stationaries between Rp 50-70 million. He claimed purposely doing that. Because the budget every year is up to Rp 487 billion. That amount of budget according to him is equal with regional budget of some cities or regencies in Indonesia.
