Every RW in Jakarta Will Have Waste Bank

City Administration keeps adding more waste banks in Jakarta. At this time, there have been 234 waste banks spread in five municipalities and one regency. Later on, every RW is targeted to have one waste bank thus there would be 2,700 waste banks in Jakarta.

Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Isnawa Adji acknowledged waste bank is important thus locals can be educated in sorting waste. Therefore, non-organic waste handling through waste bank is now becoming a priority program from government. “The number of waste bank will be added to solve waste problem,” he stated, Wednesday (10/21).
However, the more waste bank, it would attract more people caring about waste problem.
