Realizing Child-Friendly City, E.Jakarta Administration Held a Coordination Meeting

In an effort to realize Child-Friendly City (KLA), the East Jakarta Administration held a coordination meeting along with 250 participants from sub-district, urban village, community health center (Puskesmas), family planning office and public elementary school (SDN) principal.

The planned program must be comprehensive and sustainable

Assistant for East Jakarta Public Welfare (Askesmas), Ibn Hajar said, to realize child-friendly city, there must be integration and commitment among existing human resources, namely the government and the public as well as the business through corparate social responsibility (CSR).

"The planned program must be comprehensive and sustainable," he stated, Tuesday (11/24).

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Social and Welfare Division, Yeni Asnita added that the coordination meeting aims to know the fulfillment of children's rights in Jakarta, especially East Jakarta. Those rights include the aspects of civil rights and freedom in a family environment.

"There are also other rights, such as alternative care, basic health and welfare of education and leisure time use in cultural arts activities," she finished.
