15 Years in Arrears of PBB, A Hotel in Tanjung Duren Utara Sealed

GI Hotel in Tanjung Duren Utara Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan, West Jakarta was sealed by Grogol Petamburan Tax Service Unit (UPPD), Thursday (11/26).

The sealing was because the hotel owner has not paid Rural and Urban Land and Building Tax (PBB P2) since 2000. The signpost installed was written that the tax of the land and building have not been paid," said Grogol Petamburan Sub-District Head, Edy Mulyanto.

According to him, the government currently gives tax waivers for those taxpayers who are still in arrears. The fine of tax arrears is removed. They just need to pay the tax.

"The policy should encourage them to complete their obligation for paying the tax," he stated.

Head of Grogol Petamburan Tax Service Unit, Noer Subchan added that yesterday there were 3 locations recorded to be sealed with tax arrears up to Rp 1,2 billion.

"We have appealed them to pay their obligation, but they ignored it. So the sealing is taken," he explained.
