Parking on Jalan Metro Pondok Indah, 17 Online Ojek Ticketed

Due to illegal parking, South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department has ticketed 17 app-based ojek (motorcycle-taxi driver) along Jalan Metro Pondok Indah, Pondok Pinang Urban Village, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, Wednesday (12/2).

Based on the data gathered in the field, dozens of motorcycle-taxi drivers were surprised and resigned when the officers tried to control them.

"I know parking here is prohibited, but I wanted to take a break," stated Tami, one of motorcycle-taxi drivers.

Head of Supervision and Control Section, South Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department, Slamet Dahlan disclosed, the raid is conducted because his sub-department received complaints from residents. This is because the motorcycle-taxi driver has disturbed traffic flow and caused traffic jam.

"There are 17 motorcycles ticketed and 2 others seized," he told.
