Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” T. Purnama has instructed Jakarta Transportation Department to continue take strict action against Go-Jek driver who use sidewalk as base. Even he will not hesitate give yellow card (warning) to the management in case of violation found.

Ahok emphasized that his side keeps improving transportation system in capital. By doing so, residents can switch to public transportation rather than private vehicle.

Ahok added the existence of online ojek probably can disappear due to less competitive with free bus service. “You might be loss your business,” he uttered.

Previously, the Go-Jek CEO, Nadiem Makarim admitted that his side will be cooperative with government to control driver use sidewalk as their base.
