Waterway at Jalan Enggano, precisely in front of post 8 Tanjung Priok Port, North Jakarta, is dredged. Due to much sediment makes the water flow to Lagoa Tirem River hampered.
The waterway had never been dredged for 10 years. Consequently, the mud and trash slowly make it clogged
Tanjung Priok Sub-District Head, Yusuf Majid stated that, the dredged waterway has 18 meters width . So that if it is done being dredged, it could reserve more water.

Connecting Channel in Meruya Utara DredgedTo clean the mud the officers are assisted by Water Management and Bina Marga Sections of Tanjung Priok Sub-District. The special equipment for siphoning mud and water was also sent to accelerate the process.
"In the past when rainy season, due to clogged the area was often inundated until 2-3 days. But, by dredging the mud the puddle could be minimized or nothing at all," he closed.
