Something different would happen in this year New Year ’s Eve celebration since City Administration will eliminate Jakarta Night Festival (JNF) and plan to set entertainment stage in each municipalities.

The condition of Jalan Thamrin that being constructed is feared to cause accident

Purba Hutapea, Head of Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department (Disparbud) stated the elimination of the event was based on consideration of residents’ safety. As there is a road excavation at the middle of Jalan Thamrin is feared to harm residents during the celebration.

“The condition of Jalan Thamrin that being constructed is feared to cause accident,” he expressed, Wednesday (12/16).

Despite no festival is held but car free night (CFN) remains conducted.

As for the placement of the entertainment stage at East Parking Monas, Disparbud will conduct reviewing in advance .

“The concern is mass will be centralized in Monas as there is no JNF,” he finished.
