KJP For College Students Being Reviewed

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama is reviewing the giving of Jakarta Smard Card (KJP) for college students. It is targeted, KJP for college students can be used in 2017.

"If the money is sufficient, we design it to pay the college expenses as well. We will issue KJP college student version," he said, at City Hall, Tuesday (12/22).

According to him, there are still many underprivileged citizens who have good academic ability. Currently scholarship of college students is still covered by Jakarta Scholarship Foundation. "In future, I don't want anyone to be dropped out or the diploma detained," he asserted.

Basuki: KJP Transaction Never Offline

Besides that, he is also planning to give scholarship to  early childhood education (PAUD) students. He targets in 2017, the program could be run. "So ranging from PAUD until college, students get the aid," he disclosed.

In addition, the KJP giving has been progressed. Previously KJP was only given to underprivileged students in state school.

"Next year private madrasah can also enjoy KJP. We keep developing it," he closed.
