Gubernur Pertanyakan Soal RPTRA Jadi Sarang Predator

RPTRA Effective Preventing Children Violence

Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama re-asserted that the existence of Child-Friendly Integrated Public Space (RPTRA) is quite effective to prevent violence against kids in Jakarta.

Precisely if there is no such open space (RPTRA), kids could be lured to the violence perpetrator's house

With RPTRA, he told, all citizens can monitor kids movement and if they act strange it can be known directly.

"Precisely if there is no such open space (RPTRA), kids could be lured to the violence perpetrator's house," said Basuki, during the inauguration of Pulogebang Flat's RPTRA, Cakung, East Jakarta, Wednesday (12/23).

His statement as well as disputing the judgment of the National Commission on Child Protection (Komnas PA) Head, Arist Merdeka Sirait, who stated that RPTRA could trigger the emergence of pedophilia lurking kids.

"I don't know if Komnas PA said it's not good. So tell me why it is not? Should all be installed with chip, monitored? he asked.

He commits to keep constructing RPTRA in five city areas for adding kids playing and resident interaction facilities, so that they could interact and guard each other.

"If something bad happens, it could be known together," he closed.
