To succeed the implementation of Asian Games 2018, Jakarta Provincial Government is under obligation to revitalize velodrome. As for the other venues, are under Youth and Sport Ministry.

"The venues are the authority of the ministry. We only revitalize the velodrome," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, at City Hall, Monday (12/28).

While for other infrastructures, he wants to construct athletes guesthouse in Kemayoran. But until this time, House of Representatives' Commission II, has not given permission of the land utilization.

Besides that, the government will also revitalize venue equastrian (stunt riding).

He claimed for velodrome renovation is still on auction process. As his side can not do direct appointment. If it is allowed, he wants to appoint PT Jakarta Propertindo to revitalize it.

"We can't appoint directly. There must be auction process. PT Jakpro is about to process it (the contractor of velodrome revitalization)," he told.

Based on data of Indonesian Olympic Committee (KOI), besides velodrome, there are 16 renovation points at Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) complex area. They are, GBK's main stadium, swimming stadium, istora, tennis stadium, indoor tennis stadium, and madya field.

Then, archery field, volleyball building, basket building, badminton practice building, f ootball field A, softball/baseball, cricket, handball and the GBK complex area.

The renovation is done by the ministry and scheduled to be complete in July-October 2017.
