Basuki Targets Jakarta One Card Launched in 2017

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama is targeting to launch Jakarta One card in the upcoming 2017. He encourages Bank Indonesia to speed up its preparation.

"I have time until October 2017, so I want the Jakarta One card could be launched before that month," he disclosed, when he led executive meeting (Rapim), at City Hall, Monday (1/11).
He explains the card will be used for E-ID card, bus payment, flat, shopping, electronic road pricing (ERP), and Healthcare and Social Security Agency (BPJS) payment.
Basuki Requested BI's Support to Issue Jakarta One Card"I want it can be implemented this year, thus we can launch the card soon," he stated.
Basuki furthered that Jakarta Provincial Government will issue the whole population data to Bank Indonesia to speed up the launching.
"We do this because we want Jakartans have this card," he said.
Meanwhile, BI’s director of financial access and micro, small and medium enterprise, Pungky Purnomo Wibowo promised to speed up the launching and is targeted to be realized prior to Asian Games 2018. Regarding this matter, his party also coordinates with regional working unit (SKPD).
