Bad drainage system on Jalan Karang Tengah Raya, RT 06/04 Lebak Bulus, South Jakarta was inundated by 20 cm.

Based on Beritajakarta.com’s observation, puddle occurred on both road side. The two meter water channel is unable to accommodate water.
Agus (49), one of local workers, admitted that the road will easily be inundated even the rain intensity is low-medium. According to him, the puddle occur due to road is heightened and channel is not working maximally.

Moreover, Andi (28), another worker, admitted that his workplace is often inundated. He added water can not flow to opposite channel due to covered by concrete.
“The water from Jalan Pertanian Raya goes here. Some parts of the channel are closed by concrete. Mud and trash also hampered channel condition,” he added.
He explained that bad drainage causes water needs long time to recede.
