Djarot: By wearing White Shirt, We Could be Closer to the Citizen

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat supports the new rule from Home Ministry, which requires civil servants (PNS) wearing a white shirt every Wednesday.

He believed it can remove the impression of differences between officials with the citizens. "By wearing white shirt, we could be closer to the citizen," he disclosed, at City Hall, Wednesday (2/10).

Before being issued, he admitted had already wearing a white shirt when he did impromptu visit (blusukan) in the field. He considered, he feels more flexible and comfortable dialogue with citizens.

City Ready to Follow New Unifrom Rules of Civil Servant

"When the dialogue, citizens do not hesitate to give their aspirations without restriction between officials with citizens. The point is this white shirt could make us closer to them," he expressed.

He added that such rule will be applied to whole civil servant next week. Surely it would get positive from civil servants serving under Jakarta Provincial Government.
