"Such ratification is ready to be signed by Jakarta Governor, Joko Widodo (Jokowi). It is set in Jakarta Governor Regulation," expressed Head of Jakarta Regional Employment Agency (BKD), I Made Karmayoga, when being contacted by beritajakarta.com, Monday (4/14).

Karmayoga disclosed that the increase in the living costs happen each year due to inflation, as well as economic growth and so on, that is why the scale adjustment on TKD for civil servants is important. Yet, he admitted, the current amount of TKD provided by Jakarta government is still better than other civil servants in the local government, such as East Java Provincial Government, etc.

"Such adjustment that was set in Governor Regulation also refers to the increase in inflation, economic growth and living conditions in urban areas," he stated.

He explained that the increase in the amount of TKD is also based on the results of employee performance quantitatively and fairly. Thus, the contribution of the employees can be calculated based on per day, working unit, clear output, as well as measurable and comparable to what obtained.

"Such policy is based on employee performance and punctual attendance," he exclaimed.

According to him, the evaluation against employee performance should be more transparent and fair with clear benchmarks, such as personal assessment. "By so, we can know employee activities in the office. Even, the leader should supervise and should guide every subordinate rationally, instead of based on a feeling," he expressed.

He assessed that the existing TKD will not be valid anymore after the signature of new revision governor regulation for TKD by the governor.

"The current TKD is compliance with institutions, such as additional allowances for firefighters. But, its rule would be changed. Later on, the amount of TKD will be calculated based on employee performance," he asserted.

Karmayoga added that the revision is ready signed by the governor. "Hopefully, the governor could sign the regulation in the near future. We've also fixed the list attendance and performance-based IT with the calculation of the workload in each regional working unit (SKPD) proportionally," he finished.
