Thousands of Public Transport Go On Strike, Tomorrow

Thousands of public transport planned to hold a strike on Tuesday (3/22). Citizens are appealed to find alternative public transports.

Many types of public transport would join the strike

AKBP Budianto, City Police’s Traffic, admitted public transport crews joint in Paguyuban Pengemudi Angkutan Darat (PPAD) and Forum Komunikasi Masyarakat Penyelenggara Angkutan Umum (Fk MPAU) planned to hold strike tomorrow.

“Many types of public transport would join the strike. It is predicted many passengers would be neglected,” he said, Monday (3/21).

Tomorrow, Hundreds School Buses Prepared in the Capital

He explained that taxi, city bus, and bajaj would hold strike in front of DPR/MPR building by 5,000 armadas and 5,000 crews.

“They requesting for black plate transport elimination,” he added.

At 7 AM, he continued, masses from FK-MPAU which consists of KWK and Mikrolet would hold strike in front of State Palace, City Hall, and City Council. About 500 armadas and 3,000 crews would flock the areas.

FK-MPAU masses would park their vehicles in Monas and spread into those three locations. Masses who will go to State Palace are from Artha Gading, Mambo, Muara Baru (North Jakarta), Cakung, Pulogadung Terminal, Pulogebang Terminal (East Jakarta 2), Lebak Bulus Terminal, Pondok Labu Terminal, Pasar Minggu Terminal and Kebayoran Baru Terminal (South Jakarta).

Masses who will go to City Hall are from East Jakarta 1 such as Taman Mini Square, Kampung Rambutan Terminal, and Pasar Rebo intersection, while masses who will go to City Hall are from Rawa Buaya Terminal, Cengkareng and Grogol Terminal (West Jakarta).
