In the near future, the city administration will arrange fishermen in Seribu Islands. This is because, its existence does not comparable with the fishing results.

According to Darjamuni, Head of Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept, of the 4,000 fishermen, 30 percent will be converted into fishing farming.

He assessed, the floating net cage has many positive values and can be developed into a tourist attraction. For the cage and fingerlings development, will be given for free and is managed by the fishermen.

"We apply a revenue sharing system, 80 percent for fishermen and 20 percent for city administration, but it will be returned in the form of insurance and improve their welfare," he explained.

He continued fingerlings spreading will be conducted at every pond. Thus they could harvest fish every year. As planned, it will be realized next week.

"Averagely, sea fish can be harvested around 9-11 months, such as kerapu bebek, kerapu macan and bawal bintang fishes," he finished.
