Duri Kosambi Designated as Climate Village

Duri Kosambi, Cengkareng, West Jakarta was designated as one of the regions included in the program of Kampung Iklim (Climate Village). The first program initiated by Jakarta Environmental Management Agency (BPLHD) aims to anticipate climate change.

BPLHD is going to hold guidance and education activity for Duri Kosambi residents related with impact of global warming

Deputy Mayor of West Jakarta, M. Zen expressed, such program was formed to anticipate climate change due to global warming.

BPLHD Inaugurates Environment Supervision Taskforce

"BPLHD is going to hold guidance and education activity for Duri Kosambi residents related with impact of global warming," he told, Sunday (4/17).

Guidance in question is by conducting tree planting and making biopori holes. They would be asked not to burn garbage carelessly.

"Garbage burning can increase the temperature of air that trigger global warming," he stated.

He assessed, Climate Village program will be imposed in all urban villages gradually.

"The program will be imposed in Merpati Pegadungan and Damkar Joglo Housing Complex," he closed.
