Besides heavy rain and strong wind that hit the city on Tuesday (4/22) afternoon and made a huge billboard in Slipi, West Jakarta, collapsed, hail was also happened yesterday.

“Indeed, hail happened in Kebon Jeruk, but only for a while,” said Jakarta Disaster Handling Agency (BPBD) Operational Control Center (Pusdalops) officer, Rendra.

According to Rendra, there was no negative impact nor casualty or damage on residents’ houses after the hail. Still, the residents need to be careful.

Sigit, a resident from Jelambar, West Jakarta, admitted that the hail also happened in his settlement. Although it only occurred a while, the fallen ice was as big as gravel.

“Yes, heavy rain plus hail occurred here,” he told.

The heavy rain also made some roads inundated, such as in Cawang Bawah (20-25 centimeters), Halim Tunnel (20 centimeters), Jalan DI Panjaitan (10-30 centimeters), Jalan Sutoyo Cawang, Kebayoran Lama towards Binus International School, and in front of Park Hotel.
