Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said his side targets to free from broken public transport by the end of 2017. All public transport will be replaced with Transjakarta bus.

Transportation mode offered to Jakarta citizens is only Rp 3,500. Jakarta Provincial Government will pay Transjakarta bus driver double from province minimum wage, or Rp 6.2 million per month.

Armada owners have option to buy the Transjakarta bus in long-term payment system. They will get bonus Rp 5 million per month after owning the bus. If they are unable to buy the bus, Jakarta Provincial Government will give subsidy. As long as their old armada is paid Rp 10 million.

They are also able to be bus driver.

“They should not worry because we’ll pay them based on per kilometer system,” he added.
