186 SMPs in North Jakarta Ready for UN

As many as 16,604 junior high school (SMP) students in North Jakarta are going to face the National Exam (UN) on upcoming May 5. To prepare them, 186 SMPs in the municipality are holding both material deepening and mental preparations for their students.

Head of North Jakarta Basic Education Sub-Department, Septi Novida, said those 16,604 students are divided into two sub-rayons, namely sub-rayon 03 that covers Koja, Cilincing, and Kelapa Gading sub-districts, and sub-rayon 04 that covers Tanjung Priok, Pademangan, and Penjaringan sub-districts.
In sub-rayon 03, there are 88 schools that consist of 74 independent schools and 14 combine schools with 8,063 students in total. Whereas in sub-rayon 04, there are 98 schools that consists of 84 independent schools and 14 combine schools with 8,541 students in total.

Septi urges UN participants to work on the exam with sportive attitude without cheating. She also hopes that UN this year would succeed with 100 percent of passing grade.
Meanwhile, SMP Barunawati Vice Principal, Martono, told that his party is ready to conduct UN in the upcoming May 5. For the students’ mental preparation, his school will conduct joint pray.
“Besides material deepening, through four UN subjects try outs, we’ll also prepare the students’ mental by praying together on Saturday (5/3),” he uttered.
