Cleaned, Monas’ Cup Closed Temporarily

For visitors who want to see Jakarta’s view from the top of National Monument (Monas), they should be patient. This is because the elevator is experiencing power declining and the Monas’ cup is being cleaned until upcoming May 18.

The visitors can still visit the museum or the independence room which opened from 10.00 AM until 15.00 PM

Even so, Head of Monas Management Unit, Rini Hariyani, explained that visitors can still visit the museum and the independence room. “The visitors can still visit the museum or the independence room which opened from 10.00 AM until 15.00 PM,” she stated.

According to her, the 132-meter high monument is still in the preparing of cleaning process and a number of equipments for cleaning the Monas’ cup have been there. “Today is the Monas’ cup cleaning schedule, while on upcoming Thursday (5/8) all areas will be cleaned,” informed Hariyani.

However, she does not know when the cleansing would take time. “The technicians understand more about the detail, I don’t. But, they are setting up the installation right,” told Hariyani when beritajakarta.com asked the technicians whereabouts.
